At school, Sophie, Henry’s daughter, spent time with Sandra, who was a perfect replica of her. They believed they were identical twins. After seeing Sandra and her mother, Henry was taken aback and resolved to learn more about what had transpired.
When his daughter Sophie reached seven and was ready to enter second grade, Henry relocated from Texas to Los Angeles.
“All right, here we are. Sophie, your new school.
At the drop-off, he asked his daughter, “Are you excited?”
Sophie said, nervously curling her fingers over her skirt, “I think so.” “What if I’m disliked by everyone?”
“They will. All you need to do is be kind to everyone, and you should avoid being mean to others.
Don’t instigate fights, please.
Henry kissed her forehead and added. With a wave, Sophie went into the school. The others were already in her classroom, which she found right away.
But as the children saw her, their eyes grew wide, and some even let out a gasp.
She paused at the threshold and surveyed the area bewildered. When she and another girl sat at the back, her new classmates began to look at each other.
When she looked for a glimpse, she saw a blond head. Then a boy shouted, “It’s Sandra’s clone!”
Sophie gasped in shock as she spotted the girl in the rear of the classroom.
She looked just like the girl!
Sandra got up, her jaw hanging open as she gazed at the new female. “Whoa! She cried, “We look like twins!” with a broad smile.
Sophie instantly relaxed and smiled at the girl as well.
Indeed. However, why?
She replied, “I don’t have any sisters.”
“Neither am I! Sandra said, “It’s just my mom and me,” and leaped over to take Sophie’s hand.
“Come sit with me.”
As they conversed for a few minutes, other children came up to them.
Then Miss Carr, the instructor, entered. “I think Sophie Douglas will be joining us today. Their teacher said, “Come say hello,” and they all let out a little “Oh” gasp.
One child exclaimed, “Miss Carr, she’s just like Sandra!” as Sophie walked to the front of the class.
Hi there, I’m Sophie. I enjoy reading and spending time at the beach with my father.
We came here from Texas, and I can’t wait to meet new people,” the girl added, grinning broadly. The remainder of the class followed Miss Carr’s clap.
That’s fantastic, Sophie.
Additionally, it appears that you have a twin in our class. That is really awesome! Now you can take a seat.
Alright, so today we will study frogs.
Miss Carr got right into her lesson. All day long, Sophie and Sandra played with all of Sandra’s pals.
They bonded more quickly than anyone could have predicted. Sophie told her father everything about Sandra and how they looked alike when school let out.
Henry wanted to see her after hearing about her new buddy all week, so he called Sandra’s mother to discuss the situation.
A few days after Sophie’s first day at her new school, they planned to get together at McDonald’s for a playdate. Henry’s mouth fell open when Sandra and her mother, Wendy, entered. Her daughter’s lack of exaggeration astounded him.
