In the hope of meeting Matthew’s adoptive mother, Rhonda reached out to her and told her her story.

He agreed to let Rhonda visit him on the weekends despite initially refusing to use the term “mom.” Their relationship slowly got better over the next ten years.
Understanding that Rhonda’s actions were motivated by desperation, Matthew, who is now 23 and works as a data scientist in New York, forgave her and accepted her as his mother.
Rhonda’s life has kept on evolving.
She started dating Andrew recently and is thinking about getting married, but she wants to talk about it with Matthew first.
Additionally, she reconnected with Angela Bamford, who was pleased to learn that Rhonda’s life had finally come full circle.
Through determination and the help of people around her, Rhonda had the option to remake her life and retouch her relationship with the child she had whenever thought she’d lost until the end of time.
