Lazy, selfish, and charming just enough to get by. When Dan married Lara, we were stunned. She was everything he wasn’t—sweet, loyal, loving.

His world collapsed instantly. Sponsors dropped him.
His online courses tanked. James cut him off. Dan begged for forgiveness.
But I looked him in the eyes and said, “I’m choosing what’s right over you.”
Lara and I sat at my kitchen table later. “You didn’t have to help me,” she whispered. “I love you like my own,” I replied.
