Just a few hours before the wedding, the groom slips on his jacket and discovers a letter from his mother tucked inside its pocket.

Kale rushed out of the nursing home, tears streaming down his face.

“What are we going to do, Camilla? Mom doesn’t even recognize us! And the wedding is only two days away!”

“It’s alright, dear,” Camilla reassured him.

“I have a plan if you want your mother to be part of our wedding.”

Camilla proposed hosting two ceremonies: one grand celebration with all their guests, since invitations had already been sent, and a more intimate wedding at a church near the nursing home, hoping Lillian might recognize them then and grant her blessing.

As the clock struck 4 AM, Kale found himself unable to stop thinking about his mother. With his wedding day looming, he closed the photo album, shut his eyes, and finally managed to drift off until the doorbell rang, startling him awake.

It was 7 AM when he stumbled to the door, greeted by a delivery boy holding a package from Lillian’s nursing home. Kale eagerly unwrapped the item to find a beautiful suit inside.

“Did Mom send this?

Is it possible she remembers today is my wedding?” Kale leapt up joyfully and rushed to the mirror to try on the suit. As he slipped on the jacket, he felt an unusual bulge in the pocket. Investigating, he discovered a letter addressed to him.

“Please read this before your wedding,” it instructed at the top. Instantly recognizing his mother’s handwriting, he opened the letter and began to read.

“Dear Kale,” it started. “I’m so happy you’ve found love, but I must warn you… Marriage is going to present challenges.

That’s why I’m writing this before it’s too late.”

“First of all, enjoy a wonderful wedding, my son. I saw your wedding invitation today. Thank you for sharing it with the nurse.

I truly want to witness your marriage, regardless of whether I can recognize you. The nurse thinks it’s miraculous I remembered you when I saw the invite. I just wish this miracle could stick around a bit longer so I could recall everything.

“But remember, I’ll always be with you.

Love your wife and cherish her. Marriage is a sacred bond, though not without its difficulties. You will have ups and downs, but understanding is essential in a relationship.

“Also, son, you are not just gaining a wife but a precious treasure.

Support her; she may seem strong, yet like anyone else, she needs your encouragement. Please avoid quarreling over trivial matters like money; love and relationships are far more significant.

“Love your wife, seek to understand her, and cherish her. When her eyes shine with love for you, reflect that same feeling back.

Every argument, every harsh word can harm the heart.

Don’t let those elements come between you and ruin your family. Avoid straying; you’ve chosen her, so remain steadfast.

I hope you are as exceptional a husband as you are a son. With all my love, Mom.”

As he finished the letter, tears filled Kale’s eyes. He quickly prepared himself and headed to the nursing home to visit his mother.

Although Lillian didn’t recognize him, Kale decided to bring her to the wedding, honoring her wishes.

He went shopping for a lovely dress for her and asked the nurse to help get her ready.

Lillian arrived at the wedding venue in a wheelchair, unaware of her surroundings, but when she heard her son say, “I do!” tears glistened in her eyes. Perhaps, just for a fleeting moment, she recognized her son and his bride.
