When I walked into my manicurist appointment that day, I had no idea I was about to face a discovery that would ignite my fury towards my loving husband.

It had been a tiring day spent tutoring a lively group of six-year-olds learning their ABCs and a bright eight-year-old struggling with fractions.
By the time I returned home, I was exhausted. My husband Adam, with his charming boyish grin, greeted me with a kiss on the forehead.
“How’s my favorite teacher doing?” he asked, handing me a warm cup of herbal tea.
“Tired,” I chuckled as I sank onto the couch.
“But your tea makes it all better.”
Adam always had a knack for making me feel cherished. We were that couple that friends often envied, with a strong bond woven with love and shared aspirations.
We had just started discussing starting a family, and I had been secretly collecting nursery ideas on Pinterest.
“I might have to work late tonight, and I’ll be staying overnight at the office tomorrow,” he mentioned, running his fingers through his dark hair. “There’s a big project underway.”
I nodded, not overly concerned.
His role as a successful manager at a mid-sized marketing firm often required unusual hours.
“Just don’t overwork yourself, okay?”
“I won’t,” he replied, giving me another kiss. “To make it up to you, I’ve booked you an appointment for tomorrow afternoon at Lily’s Luxe Nails.”
I got up to thank him with a kiss, and he returned one on my cheek before heading to his home office.
The next day, I decided to indulge in some pampering at Lily’s Luxe Nails. Lily, the owner, is one of my favorite people, bursting with personality and always ready with the latest gossip.
As I settled into the chair, Lily approached with her usual enthusiastic grin.
“Darling, you’re glowing!
Your husband must be treating you well?”
“As always,” I replied, extending my hands for her to inspect.
She chuckled as she prepared her tools. “Well, at least he’s worth it. Not everyone has that luck.”
Her remark piqued my interest.
Lily rarely complained about her love life; she often boasted about her romantic escapades.
“Oh? Is someone giving you a headache?” I inquired.
With a cheeky grin, she leaned in to confide, “No, I’ve been seeing a new guy, a total dreamboat! He’s smart, funny, successful, and boy, does he know how to treat a lady!”
“Good for you!
What’s it like?”
Lily’s eyes sparkled. “Our relationship is unreal! I’ve never felt this way before!
Not even James can compare!”
James is Lily’s husband; I had met him during one of my visits to her salon.
“I suppose I’m a bit traditional, as I could never imagine cheating on Adam, and I’m pretty sure he feels the same way,” I said.
