Because he told Lucy about his infertility, Harry and Lucy never had children. However, she was taken aback by the barista and cashier at a coffee shop one day. They were identical twins who resembled her husband in his younger years.
Lucy approached Harry and revealed his startling past. Lucy made the decision to have some tea and relax at the neighborhood coffee shop close to her Seattle home after her monthly trip to the grocery store. For the millionth time, she wished she had her own children as she watched with pleasure as two women wheeled strollers along the street.
She was wed to Harry, a wonderful man. He informed her early on in their relationship that he was infertile, despite their deep love for one another. In any case, she fell in love and came to terms with the fact that she would not be having children.
She wished she had persuaded him to adopt or seek fertility treatments years later. “Oh, well. She muttered to herself, “Life is too short for these regrets,” and finally walked into the coffee shop.
Looking at the menu above the counter, she considered her options while she waited in line for the cashier. But as Lucy got to the checkout, she stopped short. Something about his features startled her since he was new.

In an attempt to grab her attention, the young man behind the register questioned, but Lucy remained motionless. “Madam? Ma’am?
“Oh, I see. She finally unfroze and said, “Yes, may I have a blueberry scone and green tea?” After taking her card, the young man instructed her to wait at a table while he brought her order, which will arrive in a short while. Lucy kept her gaze fixed on the man even as she made her way to an unoccupied table.
Then she saw who was behind him at work. He looked exactly like the barista. Her eyes watched them closely, and she told herself that they must be twins.
They both resembled her spouse identically, which astonished her. Harry only had one sister, who had two daughters, therefore they must have been related. However, there has to be some connection between her spouse and these two young men.
“Everyone in the world has a doppelgänger,” she thought, but this was different. At last, the cashier came over to her carrying a tray containing her order. He appeared so young that she detected a tiny limp in his step and wondered why.
They were definitely in their early twenties. It was time to solve this mystery. “What’s your name, young man?” she inquired.
“Oh, my name badge has it right here. My name is Oliver. Do you require anything else?
He smiled broadly in response. “No, but is your twin brother the barista?”
That’s Matthew, indeed. Why do you ask?
Oliver looked curiously inquisitive. It’s simply Both of you resemble my hubby a lot. It’s insane.
Lucy said, smiling, “It’s almost like you’re his children.” Oliver, however, chose not to partake in her celebration. It’s likely that he is our biological father. Anyone might be.
