Our Neighbors Set Us up in Front of Our Landlord to Move into Our Home – We Gave Them What They Wanted

“Don’t worry, hon, we’ll get through this.”

Yes, Mr. Thompson left, quietly closing the door. Disbelief and frustration flooded me as I collapsed on the couch.

“How can they do this to us?” Tears formed as I asked Ethan. Ethan and I added a driveway, garden, and jacuzzi to our house, while Pamela and Robert’s is dark and uninviting. They’ve wanted our house since we moved in!

Ethan sitting alongside me was quiet and soothing. Don’t cry, honey. We’ll resolve this.

I guarantee.”

“But what can we do?” In despair, I asked. Ethan seemed determined. I’ve planned.

Make sure they understand. We can’t stay here quietly with everyone supporting them, but we’ll teach them before leaving.”

Hope returned as I wiped away my tears. “Do you really think we can win?”

Ethan nods.

Yes, we can. We must be powerful and united.”

I breathed deeply, gaining strength. Ethan by my side gave us a fighting chance.

We wouldn’t let Pamela and Robert damage our home. Battle was only begun. Moving day was quick.

As we packed things, our yard was busy by midmorning. I saw Pamela and Robert across the yard as I carried boxes to the moving truck. Happily packing to move into our house, their faces brightened up.

It was extremely frustrating to see them smiling as we were evicted from our home. “See how pleased they are. “It’s infuriating,” I said to Ethan gathering up the garden tools.

Ethan shook his head at them. “Just wait, they’ll get what’s coming to them.”

The roses and other plants we had grown were taken from our beautiful yard. We even took the jacuzzi, leaving the yard ugly.

We then concealed Robert and Pamela’s surprise in unexpected places. It pained to see our hard work go to waste, but I refused to leave anything for those terrible neighbors. Pamela smiled and waved.

She cheered, “I hope your move goes smoothly!” Her strategy worked, and she was thrilled. Despite my heartache, I smiled and waved. I said, “Thanks,” throaty.

Ethan and I worked silently under the pressure. I looked at our old house one last time as we placed the last box onto the truck. My thoughts was filled with good and hard labor recollections.

There was sadness to go, but also eagerness for what was to come. My arm was wrapped by Ethan. He said, “Ready to go?”

Nodding, I wiped away tears.

“Yes, let’s go.”

We drove away from the house and neighbors in the pickup. We moved into our snug, pleasant new house five days later. Moving stress subsided, and we relaxed.

The phone rang early one evening as Ethan and I unpacked the final few boxes. I found Pamela’s name on the caller ID. “Hello?” Speaking calmly, I said.

Frantic Pamela spoke. “You buried rubbish and fish leftovers throughout the home! It stinks, but we can’t pinpoint the source!

Our neighbors are angry and want us out! We’ll sue you!”

I pretended innocence, my heart racing with satisfaction and nerves. “We were evicted so rapidly we didn’t check everything.

Sorry!”

Pamela’s anger was obvious. This is intolerable! It’ll cost you!”

“I really am sorry,” I added, smiling.

“It must have been an oversight.”

I hung up, grinning, and blocked her contact. Ethan raised an eyebrow at me. “What was that about?”

“Pamela,” I laughed.

They found our surprise. The house stinks, and they can’t locate the cause.”

Ethan laughed. “Serves them right.”

We looked knowingly, feeling justice.

It wasn’t our proudest moment, but it felt wonderful to get back at them after what they did. With lighter spirits and shared delight, we unpacked again. Ethan and I moved in and enjoyed the calm of a more reliable landlord.

While drinking coffee one morning, Ethan leaned back and exclaimed, “See? Karma sometimes needs a push.”

Feeling good, I smiled. “They got what they wanted.

I hope they like their new home!”

Thinking about Pamela and Robert cleaning up their mess made us laugh. I liked that they were learning a hard lesson about karma. After facing injustice, we believed justice was served.

A well-executed revenge strategy is powerful. We made sure our neighbors regretted their attempt to evict us and take over our home. They got their due, and we felt justice was served.

What would you’ve done?
